SNET Conference


At the end of October 2013, Professor Rodine-Hardy attended, presented, and moderated at the Society for the Study of Nanoscience and Emerging Technologies Conference at Northeastern University. Over 140 researchers and professors attended the event which included 40+ plenary sessions, panel discussions and roundtables surrounding this year’s theme: Innovation, Responsibility and Sustainable Development.

Professor Rodine-Hardy’s presentations included:

Governing Nanotechnology in a Globalized World – Cross-national dimensions and strategic assessments of a disruptive technology

Nanotechnology and the European Union – Regulating a dynamic sector for economic competitiveness and security

She served as chair on the following panels:

I am an associate professor of political science at Northeastern University. I study global diffusion of policy innovations in disruptive technologies, especially telecommunications and nanotechnology. I teach international political economy, comparative politics and international relations.
